Technical Writing Keywords
Completion of grad school soon….job outlook?
Graduation is 2 months away and I need to locate some answers.
Problem: want to blend a technical background and experience (BS in Computer Science & MS in Computer Technology) with soft skills (communication, client persuasion, presentation and writing). Monster, Dice and Hotjobs aren’t providing the types of positions I was hoping for, or maybe I’m using the wrong keyword search……………..any suggestions? Location is NOT a problem, I can relocate anywhere……..Virgin Islands sounds wonderful.
I would suggest that before you graduate that you get into contact with your career counselor at your school and also that you check into your university’s alumni network group for jobs. Also, try to network with other classmates at your school. Are they employed? Ask them if the company that they work for is hiring. On another note, I just read recently that Raleigh, North Carolina and the state of Florida are great places to find work so you might just want to try there if you are considering relocating.
